Thank you so much for fantastic
emails and letters this week; AWESOME!!! I really, really appreciate it. I
was SO HAPPY to get the CD set of Jesus the Christ you sent! I listen to it in
the car, and it's GREAT. Elder Talmage is very, very inspired and surely
was guided by the Lord to create that work. What marvelous scripture it is. As
I listen to it and deepen my knowledge of Jesus Christ, I am prepared to get
out and chase people down to tell them about Him! It's awesome :) THANK you. As
well, thank you for the fantastic letter you sent; I really, really liked it a
lot.
With that extra ticket you
have, there's a FANTASTIC and absolutely UNBEATABLE opportunity to present the
House of the Lord to someone. Zion
is so wonderfully presented through the temples. Maybe have one of Ryans'
friends come, or one of yours? Focus on getting a recent convert of the ward
there, or to another temple for baptisms ASAP. Look through the less-active
list of the ward and pick someone. Have one of the missionaries show you the
steps that lead to conversion as found in their daily planner, and try to help
the converts and investigators (including your friends) accomplish those steps.
The temple will be absolutely prime for carrying the Spirit to the doors of the
heart.
This week has been pretty
roller coaster! That's how it can be sometimes. I'm constantly firming my
stance on that Rock, and seeking the Savior's guidance. Preach My Gospel
teaches us to be led by the Spirit in all aspects of the work! What a challenge
that can be sometimes, but what a victory when you feel it.
We met a guy a few weeks ago
named Cyrus. He's from the country of Georgia , and speaks Farsi. We
taught him about The Book of Mormon while we were walking down the street with
him. Of course we pretended to be coincidentally going to the same store as him
;P So we taught him about The Book of Mormon and gave him and English copy,
then told him at the end that we would bring by one in his original language;
Farsi. He was surprised to hear that and gave us his information to his
apartment. We ordered the book from the mission office... and we weren't able
to find him at home the several times we went by.
On Saturday, we were driving
down Avondale Rd.
and we spotted him jogging down the highway and parked and ran to catch up to
him. We gave him The Book of Mormon in Farsi and he was SO surprised! He was
really please about it and was super thankful. As we drove away, we watched him
open it up and start to read it on his way back home!! Truly that will bring
him back to Heavenly Father :) What a privilege to see that miracle.
I know that the work of God is
truly marvelous and will render a greater change in one's perspective than any
other endeavor. The Lord constant in His working of miracles, and I am thankful
for the touch that He has given to my life. I hope to be the means of bringing
others to repentance by introducing them to Jesus Christ. I love missionary
work!
Thank you for your love and
support and for all that you do for me. Have a fantastic week!
