Sept 27, 2012  WEEK 8

 

Whoa! Got my travel plans! The final week at the MTC is crazy awesome! We're preparing and really kicking things in gear this week. We speak Spanish constantly, and teach frequently, and we are using The Book of Mormon SO MUCH!!! It's the most powerful tool for conversion, by FAR. There is an inexplicable power to this record. My favorite story is that of the brother of Jared. I hope that I can develop faith even a fraction of his, and exercise it to bring others unto Christ.

I encourage all to watch the talk by Elder Christoffersen about the current bush. I believe that one of the most important things in this life will be the ability to understand, take, and even seek correction from the Lord. I know that here as a missionary, that is particularly important. Whom the Lord calls, He qualifies. And in the same way, we need to be comfortable with the Lord's chastisements and directions to head down the path to eternal perfection. In the mean time, let's study the words of the prophets, and seek to understand deeper than ever before the Lord's purposes, and most importantly, His will for each of us. The process is this; humility, faith, action, and change. We can become like our Father in Heaven through the marvelous gift of the Atonement. I bear testimony of its changing power.
