We're going to have a
baptism on Sunday! A little guy named Gerardo is going to be baptized. His mom
is a member, but the dad isn't, so I'm going to see what the Lord can do to get
the dad baptized too. We're going to work hard for it! We're been praying SUPER
hard and fasting for him, and for the Munoz family so that they can get
baptized.
I have been developing a
greater love for The Book of Mormon, and Nephi has been helping me out a whole
bunch. I am learning more about personal revelation, and he says that if you
keep the commandments and ask in faith, you will surely receive! It's a perfect
message for a time when I need revelation more than anything.
Elder DeTavis and I are
doing well and working hard to baptize. I'm grateful for the opportunity to see
all of the Gospel's blessings, and I hope that we can help others experience
them too. There are several new families we have found, and lots of other people
that are going to be baptized too.
Ryan has emailed me and he
seems to be doing well. I know he is feeling the stress and I told him all the
best things I could. They're teaching him what he needs. All he needs from us
is to hear our testimonies as often as possible, and as simple
as possible so that his faith can grow with ours. He's getting used to
the Peruvian food, apparently! Good for him.
I love you so much. The
Gospel is amazing, and the way is simple! I pray for you every day and I know
that the Lord is conscious of us in our personal and daily needs. I know that
He answers with time and with grace. Thanks be to God for that. I love you!
Love,
Elder Talbot
